The "In the Paddock at Racetrim" blog series communicates what I'm working on and where the platform is going.

Racetrim Community Update

Our Racetrim Community discord has been absolutely incredible in the last few months. Here is a list of things that are true, that I think illustrate what has been happening:

  1. We've done 9 weekly pit stop races!
  2. We have 4 teams entered into a 9hr Suzuka endurance race!
  3. Public lobbies have been running and populated daily!
  4. We formed an LFM team, and are running races together!

Thank you all for hanging out with us, racing with us, and everything you do to make this a great place to chat. Keep being kind on track, in chat, and out there everywhere on the internet.

Racetrim Financials

October 2025
AWS Bill($242.64)
Racetrim Revenue$67.74
Patreon Pledge$47.00
Total(127.90)

In October, I created a patreon to give us a way to officially fund community servers and the other costs of running our public ACC servers and events. To run the racetrim app and community discord, I've been spending about $150-200 per month. It's also important to note that most of the revenue and pledge income is contributed by a handful of community members. Thank you to those folks (you know who you are) for supporting this adventure with your money and time. I'm hopeful the patreon account makes it easier for us to pool our resources together and make the racetrim community self-sustaining.

Please, if you'd like to provide financial support for our community, now or in the future, go join the Racetrim Patreon with a free or paid membership.

Platform Growth

Racetrim's application growth is slow and steady, but what I'm really impressed by is how many racing hours, sessions, and laps the racetrim players have given back to the broader Assetto Corsa Competizione player base.

Every quali has a qualification times comparison visualization.

Every race comes with a race plot telling the story of the race and strategy.

Reworked navigation

Getting around is now easier with a better top-level navigation on the app home page, and contextual links between sections of the app. For instance, when looking at server settings you see links to the servers that use those settings. Similarly, if you're looking at a driver's laps in a particular session, you'll see links to that drivers public profile, the session those laps were run in, and to the server the laps were run on.

Simplified BOP features

Syncing LFM BOP and Pitskill BOP was completely reworked to be easier. Now any server setting can select whichever BOP you want to use. You can upload BOP json files to create a customized BOP.

Overtime seconds suggestion

When changing tracks on a setting, the app now provides a suggested overtime seconds to use for that track. This will hopefully prompt server admins to select an appropriate time for this setting, so that drivers don't have to wait extraordinarily long for sessions to end, or have their hot quali laps cut off.

Session Pagination

We were running so many server sessions we needed pagination to avoid loading them all, all the time. Now when presented the sessions for a server, or your past sessions, you are shown 100 and click "Load more" to see the next 100.

Public driver profiles

Not searchable yet across the platform, but every driver that has ever done laps in a racetrim session has a public driver profile. You can click to driver profiles from session results. Here is mine.

Tracks stats and progression

All the data from your laps run on racetrim servers is now compiled to help you see personal progression and performance on every track.

Laps Progression

You can also see a listing of basic stats and your pace on each track, in each car class, here.

Cache busted CSS

When I push out new layout and styling changes, everyone will get them right away without needing to clear their browser cache. Sorry if you ever noticed anything wonky in the app after I did an update. That should be under control now.
